Willow Country isn’t just a restaurant — it’s the result of generations of passion, grit, and a love for creating memorable meals and meaningful moments.

It all started in the small village of Hague, just north of Saskatoon. The founder’s father began his journey in the restaurant industry at a place called the Silver Spur. In 1972, he and his wife struck out on their own and took over a modest roadside shack in Radisson. Through persistence and heart, that humble space grew into the legendary Red Bull Restaurant and Truck Stop — a beloved destination known far and wide for good food and honest service.

Growing up in the business, Sherry (the owner of Willow Country) naturally found herself behind the grill. Over the years, she operated several restaurants, including the well-known Riviera (The Riv) on Circle Drive in Saskatoon. In 2001, she returned to her roots, taking over the Red Bull from her semi-retired father. After 10 years at the helm, she sold the business in 2012 and stepped away from the industry.

But the restaurant world never really left her.

After a decade in the 9-to-5 grind, the itch to get back to what she loved became impossible to ignore. So in 2022, she decided it was time — time to build her dream and bring a fresh experience to Saskatoon.
